Welcome Megan. Good luck with your upcoming surgery. Are you wondering what to eat right after the procedure or are you talking about what you can/can't eat long term? In the short term, follow your doctor's instructions...liquids first, then mushies, soft foods, and lastly, regular food a few weeks out. Long term....it's whatever your band can tolerate. I have no fills so I can eat anything. I stick to 1000 or so calories daily....protein, veggies, carbs and it's working for me. Down 71 lbs. in 6 months.

Do you have any restriction?

First off I'm thrilled that you are having surgery, it is such an exciting thing! :D Second I would contact the Doc and like mine he gave me a packet of all the things I could/couldn't have. He gave me a break down on before surgery, a few days after surgery and then the many more weeks to come. It was very helpful and I've been studying it like a mad woman! I would recommend you ask the office for something similar so you will have an idea, and it'll assist you in preparing for before and after the surgery! Best wishes to you! xx

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
