I got denied, then we were going to submit my appeal TOMMORROW and out of the blue Aetna called the doctor and said it has now been APPROVED!!!!!! I am SOOOOOO happy! I am still waiting on approval from my insurance....it's been over three months since I started with the appointments and tests...and it's been wait and see for at least six weeks...but I'm hopeful....God bless you on your journey... Judy Ann 0 Posted May 9, 2006 Congratulations! I know your excitement. I met with the coordinator on Apr 19, and luckily got all my testing done, and had my surgery on May 3. Since I first met with the staff, I have lost 20 pounds. I was very fortunate to have an insurance company that completely supports this surgery, and they always respond quickly. That is how from the day of my first meeting and exam to the day of my surgery it was only 2 weeks! I hardly had time to get nervous. I had made my mind up though and had prayed about it and felt comfortable with it. I am not too far from you, I live near Texarkana. I wish you well!
