The band is just a help!!

Recommended Posts

Since being banded I am training everyday and I am eating sensibly/counting calories and I am working harder to achieve my goal harder than before the band. You know why????

It's because I am major motivated by my weightloss, by comments from people, by clothes fitting easier, by fitting in plane seats, by staying healthy, by living longer, by being able to

Play with my daughter.

Don't get me wrong the band kick started all this and majorly helps Portion Control but results drive enthusiasm.

HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT????

For sure....you still have to do ALL the work the band just makes it easier because of the restriction. You can do it!! Good luck and keep up the good work =)

OMG yes! I think that says it all. If losing the weight is what you want, more than anything, you will make it happen, band or not. The band just makes it a little easier, but we still have to do all the heavy lifting (pun intended)

I agree with all I hate when I hear people say I took the easy way out they have no ideal of the hard work I continue to put in day after day

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
