drehn88 251 Posted July 11, 2013 Just curious... Does anyone know the science behind the different "soft spots" people talk about? I haven't gotten there (yet), but if/when I do I would like to know what is going on in my body to do "that". Thanks!
lellow 1,713 Posted July 12, 2013 I can't speak for all the different types of 'soft stops' but my old soft stop was a dripping nose, and my doctor explained that it was food getting too high up in the esophagus that caused that. I now get hiccups sometimes since being rebanded, other people get shoulder tip pain, etc but I have no idea why those soft stops occur.

stept04 465 Posted July 12, 2013 I have wondered if it has anything to do with the vegus nerve. Maybe when we eat to a certain point it applies more pressure to the nerve and depending on what spot of the nerve is touched it effects that corresponding area. Just a thought, I don't know for sure how it works. ~~~Stephanie 1 drehn88 reacted to this
