I had Lipo done to my tummy, back and inner thighs two days ago and have been in manageable pain, but today I've started to itch EVERYWHERE that I've had lipo. Scratching it does nothing because I'm still pretty numb in those areas.

Is it normal??

While I have not had Lipo (yet anyway!), you may be having a reaction to the pain meds, or whatever they used for the lipo process itself.....this can happen even when you have had prior surgeries (side effects with the meds). If it persists, or gets worse, call your doctor/office and see what they advise. Good luck, with the itching AND recovery!

Take some benadryl to help with the itching. Is there a rash?

No rash at all, it's all on the inside! And I haven't taken any pain meds at all (haven't needed to) so it can't be a reaction to that. I may just call my doctor's office anyway and ask.

Poor itchy! All I could suggest is some benadryl as well , othersise If you want I can come over and scratch you.

ROFLMAO, trust you to reply with that!

I'll go get some bendryl for now. I heard from Hazelbliss that it's actually normal but anything that can help with the itchiness is a plus.

So best get that plane ticket, mister!

I had the same problem after lipo. My surgeon told me that it is from the nerve endings regenerating. I found that benadryl really helped. Unfortunately it just takes time...hope the benadryl helps!

Thanks so much for posting your experience and letting me know it's normal. OMG the itch last night was driving me batty. I'm taking benadryl and it's helping a little, but it doesn't take it away completely.

Oh well, this is the price we pay, right? :)
