Maxjam 1 Posted July 7, 2013 Hi everyone. Im new, just joined this forum/chat. I got banded 2 and half months ago and lost 25 pounds so car. However, the past 2 days i have felt like i have had no reatrictions. I can eat bread and meat and feel it just slide down. I have had one fill at 3 cc about a month ago. Does anyone thing that this might be band erosion or slippage?
shavens 0 Posted July 8, 2013 Hi. I just joined too. I was banded in 2010 and never have I not been able to eat anything. meats (steak , porkchops , chicken breast) They have always been hard to swallow, but other than that I could eat bread, Pasta, rice, cake, whatever. Last week however I had a problem and I just posted about it ...but, to answer you...You might want to call the doctor, and you might need another fill. It's not likely that it has slipped, but I would check it out and trust me...you don't want to be able to eat anything. This has kept me from losing. Just in the past few months I have dropped 30 pounds, but I was right back up to my pre-LB weight before that. So...yeah, call the doctor:)

After I got my surgery and 2 weeks the swelling went down I could eat anything I wanted and it went right down. I need a fill. Many people take several before they hit that sweet spot. some people schedule fills every four weeks until they reach that green zone. Slippage you will have lots of heartburn and indigestion when laying down form my understanding. If one doesn't keep up with those fills they can easily gain back that weight. I agree with shavens you don't want to be able to eat anything. 1 parisshel reacted to this
