Lapband Newbie - awaiting first aftercare appt

Recommended Posts

Okay, I finally made my decision to get the lapband and had my procedure on 06/27/2013 and my first fill is set for 07/25/13.. I'm a bit nervous from all of the posts with the concerns on fills and the pain associated; but hoping for an uneventful transition afterwards. I love working out but most of what I have read from my doctors office is stating that I should wait about 4 weeks before resuming workout.. Is that true for everyone else? I at least want to get on the treadmill or attend my weekly dance class. Any input on working out that anyone can share would be appreciated...

My doctor said the same thing, walking or stationary bicycle until six weeks, then I could do more strenuous work and weights.

Great, thanks for the input!! I plan on starting slow and beginning with the treadmill on Monday, that will help me continue with my workout flow that I enjoy so much.. Very excited about my new weight loss journey getting under way..

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
