Do any of you use firming lotions? What do you use?

I use the Jergens Firming lotion twice a day. It won't help with loose skin (nothing will) but it does help lessen the wrinkly appearance. It makes it look a little smoother.

But like I said, it won't actually tighten loose skin.

ladyjordan: Do you feel like the gym is helping with loose skin? Do you do crunches or anything?

my doctor says as long as I lose slowly.....1-2 lbs, skin should ot be a problem. I have a really hard time believing that. Where is it going to go?(sigh ~) I would be lying if I wasn't nervous about getting wrinkles......it is inevitable.......but maybe I am hoping for my "youthful" skin to accompany my future "youthful" body. Crazy huh?

Crayola to be honest my thighs where terrible and I went into panic mode, I was like omg nooooo but I have noticed since I have been going to the gym they look soooo much better I even where shorts now....Yayyyy the good thing about lap band is you loose the weight slowly so that gives your body time to firm up, but I promise working out helps the process so much I hit the gym at least 3-4 times a week, now I working on these bat wings my arms..lol it hasn't tighten up yet but I am going to keep doing the weights and see if they will help, but it takes a lot of work to get these bodies to look the way we want them to ...good luck on your journey

Firming at the gym is best. Most firming lotions do not really work.

I definitely use firming lotions. The gym will help build muscle, but will not fix loose skin. That will depend on your age and genetics. The lotion does help with appearance and helps to keep your skin hydrated which we all need anyway.

I use It Works defining gel and love. I was banded in 2009 and had issues with loose skin. I use the wraps and defining gel and my skin is more firm than I ever imagined. Still working at it, but its 80% better. Not to mention the appearance of stretch marks and cellulite is almost gone.

Here is where I get my products.

Hope this helps

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
