naenaern777 345 Posted July 5, 2013 Has anyone had extreme fatigue and pain immediately post band placement? I'm am supposed to do Clear Liquids for 10 days post op. I just don't think the fatigue this bad should be normal. Pain I understand. Any advice???????
Jim1967 3,569 Posted July 5, 2013 Lack of energy and some pain is completely normal. I napped off and on for two days after surgery and the gas pain was unbearable at times but within 5 days I was good. If you are concerned definitely do not hesitate you check in with your Doctor. 4 DELETE THIS ACCOUNT!, mrsto, stept04 and 1 other reacted to this
mrsto 2,925 Posted July 5, 2013 Yes - the fatigue is totally normal. Anesthesia alone can do a number, not to mention that you just a major surgery. That, and the complete & total change in diet. Rest when you need to, and just know that this will pass. If it becomes an ongoing issue, call your doctor. 4 Jim1967, DELETE THIS ACCOUNT!, stept04 and 1 other reacted to this

MsGal 104 Posted July 5, 2013 Someone else on this site told me to have Mylicaon drops and Gas x on hand before the surgery. (mine is monday so I am getting everything this weekend) Same person also said she sucked on those very soft melt in your mouth mints (puffy red and white ones). I'll be thinking of you...Lisa 1 naenaern777 reacted to this
naenaern777 345 Posted July 7, 2013 Thank you all so much for the help. I did call the doctor and she said if it didn't improve I could come in. I was in the hospital for 4 days as it is. I have no veins left even if I needed hydration. I figured being only on clear liquids would be tough..
