Telly 4 Posted August 24, 2006 The outcome is remarkable. I have less and less flabby skin, noticeably every 2 weeks. Keep at it.
pebulz 135 Posted August 24, 2006 YEAH!!! I've heard so many horror stories about flabby skin and I must say this has me pretty nervous I'm 26 and have alot to lose but I don't want to have the PS. I would much rather work it off. I think it would be much easier. How long has it been since you've been banded and how have you done??

lisanjason 0 Posted August 24, 2006 Has anyone ever tried the bowflex? I've walked 2 miles almost every evening since surgery which seemed to work really well for me but for some reason my weight loss has now stalled.I even tried adding jogging and riding the bike with my 2 yr old in the baby trailer to burn more calories but I'm still the same weight everyday!I know I am burning more calories than I eat,so I don't understand what the problem is. My husband ordered the bowflex the other night and I'm just wondering if anyone has used one or if they are even worth the money? I have about 40 pounds to get to goal and I'm so frustrated right now.I was going to finally join a gym because of the weight stall but now that the bowflex is coming I won't have to join one.Someone let me know what you think. Thanks!
foodstampchamp 3 Posted August 24, 2006 Has anyone ever tried the bowflex? Yes, I have had a bowflex for about 3 years but just recently have been using it for something other than a clothes hanger. That is how I do my resistance training. It is very easy and convenient.
lisanjason 0 Posted August 24, 2006 Hey that's what I use my treadmill for! I thought it WAS for hanging clothes on! LOL! So I guess I should get use out of the bowflex since I need to START on resistance training.I've mostly done only walking so I need to start building muscle tone everywhere else that walking doesn't touch.wheeeeeew............tired just thinking about it! Telly 4 Posted August 24, 2006 TellyWhat is the difference between the Arc Trainer and the elliptical machine? My gym has both and I was wondering if the Arc trainer was a better machine. Thanks The Arctrainer is a wonderful piece of equipment. It burns double the calories than any cardio machine in the history of human kind. I swear I am on that thing for 1 hour and I burn 650+ calories and I weigh in 4lbs less than I did before getting on it. Mind you I lose alot of Water weight while on it but it's soo awesome. The women love this machine. It's a marching motion instead of the skiing - elliptical. It works your hips, thighs, gluteous maximus :heh: ..hemstrings, all of that, whereas the elliptical works arms and legs. You sacrifice arm movement for burning more calories I say. I tried it for a few minutes one day and I when I got off of it, I felt like I was kind of floating. I am running 3 days a week and want to add another cardio exercise 2-3 days a week on my off days so I might just add this machine. I have a last session with my PT for a month or two and will ask her to show me how to use that machine correctly. Thanks
Telly 4 Posted August 24, 2006 Sounds like a plan. I am heading out to the gym now. Trust me on this. If you are trying to burn calories..lots of calories.... then this machine is the ticket. But if you are wanting to work everything out ..then that machine isn't the one for you.
