Telly 4 Posted July 19, 2006 Today I will in the office and do the 3 mile Walk Away the Pounds Tape at home. I am wearing my pedometer today. Hopefully I be donig a little later. Burns lots of calories you know. OOooooooo Are you ..stripping? Or are you just going to dance... or are you seducing? I can't tell which one you are incenuating.:guess Julie, that's great girlie. Keep up the cardio and focus on the muscle groups. Really take your time with the weight training. Don't rush it. Feel each muscle working as you lift. Concentrate on those biceps  I hope you show us one day some crazy Arnold Schwartzneggar pecs and biceps! LOL

BPM 0 Posted July 19, 2006 SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET! You go get em BPM!!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: *Stands over BPM and frowns* "Get up SOLDIER!!! NOW DO 100 MORE MILES!" Yes Drill Sergeant! (Picture Bill Murray in Stripes) My goal is to be riding 100 miles a week within about 90 days. I am riding on pavement now so my Mtn Bike isn't the greatest choice as the tires are set up for off road and have a lot of drag but that just means I am working that much harder. :heh:
Telly 4 Posted July 19, 2006 Yeah, that's awesome! That just means you would do 20 miles a day for 5 days. That's not bad! You'll hit goal in no time at that rate.
GreatDame 2 Posted July 19, 2006 Ive been thinking about getting a bike. I guess I just dont know how to get started...gee that sounds stupid...LOL... is biking the way to go???
Telly 4 Posted July 19, 2006 Greatdame, You have a whole new fitness center in your home. That's great! You should start there. Also, to switch things up a bit, if you want to walk outside for a few miles then that would be a great change of pace. A bike works the same way. I started my weight loss with my bike. It's all in my journal.. (biking 6.5 miles, working up to 16.5miles, then 31.2 to 35 miles) Lost lots of weight doing it but you can lose just as much with exercise equipment. BPM 0 Posted July 19, 2006 What I personally like about the bike is that it is low impact and you can stay in "the zone" for a long time so you will be burning fat rather than muscle. Plus it's great fun...at least once your in shape enough to enjoy it. :heh:

Jachut 487 Posted July 20, 2006 Whoohoo, this morning I ran 5km in 30 minutes! I'm training for an 8km fun run in September so I need to work on both speed and distance. That's my best performance to date.

BPM 0 Posted July 20, 2006 Another 10 miles today. We (wife and I) rode the same route. I did it much faster but it hurt more. My seat makes my entire crotch go numb and lose feeling. My butt is ok....it's the other that can't take it. My bike has a racing seat on it and it's very small and points upwards where it seems like it shouldn't. I am going to try buying a new seat today and see how that goes. Oh yeah...... :faint:
