Day 1 preop diet!!

Hey everybody! Started day 1 of my 2 week liquid diet! Massive headache today which I'm sure is from lack of sugar but I'm pushing through!!

Surgery date is 16 July!! Getting super excited!!

I don't find myself nervous yet at all...is that normal?? Lol

No, if you get the jitters about having the surgery it will happen in the 2-3 days before you go in. Good luck on the preop diet! Is it all liquid or do you get a meal or two a day?

Yeah it's all liquid! 3 Protein Drinks a day and sugar free drinks in between.

Ok thanks for the heads up about the jitters!! I was starting to think I wasn't normal for not being nervous yet! Lol

its day 2 for me. I am allowed to have 1 meal (a peice of chicken and green salad). Im at work and everyone is eating except for me....I'm drinking!

I'm on the same diet it get better I'm on day 8

good luck! i'm on Day 6 today and yesterday was the first day my head didn't really hurt - i think it was detoxing from sugar and carbs. i'm still hungry pretty much all the time, but it feels good to get each day under my belt to build confidence that i can do it. good luck to everyone stickin out the pre-op phase together right now!
