Banded Saturday. Should I be feeling this bad?

Recommended Posts

Banded Saturday by Dr Super at Dolan Park. Great experience. Home now and cant believe how bad I am feeling. Not sure if something is wrong? nauseous but have not been sick. Everything hurts. Not hungry at all. Is this normal?

Hi, I was banded Wed and felt aweful for 2 days, I took my pain meds and slept a lot! Keep drinking (sip sip sip) your Water, and walk around to get rid of the gas. The gas can almost make you feel like you have the flu.

Good luck! :) and Congrats!

I felt pretty bad for the first four days. I could get up and around okay but felt like I'd been hit by a truck. Take the pain meds and anti-nausea meds if you have them. If you have any concerns feel free to call your doc's office. That's why they're there!

You just described my banding experience. I am 5 days post op and am finally starting to feel like a normal person again. Just take it easy on yourself, drink lots of Water and catch up on some movies. If you have some nausea medicine, take it. Time is the only thing that will make you better :(

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
