GirlOnFire 3 Posted June 28, 2013 I just scheduled my consultation! I'm so excited and nervous. They want medical records but I've only been to the doctor 2 times in the last 5 years. I'm afraid that won't be enough.

GirlOnFire 3 Posted June 28, 2013 How far did you go into the past of your medical records?

I'm afraid that won't be enough. Probably not. Don't be surprised if you have to go on a documented weight loss program for 3-6 months. Most insurance companies require this as part of their approval process. It will be a good way for you to get ready for the process you'll follow post banding. Good luck. Nurse_B 270 Posted June 28, 2013 Do you have documented weight discussions from the last two visits? Usually if they can establish your current problems have been addresses, they don't need that much to look at.

Did you have to do nutrition and psych? My consult is next Wednesday and is love for it to be scheduled quickly!
GirlOnFire 3 Posted July 2, 2013 I will be self pay if I have to be. But I found out this morning that insurance will cover $50,000 lifetime. I'm so excited about that! As for documented weight discussions, I'm not sure. I have had plenty of doctors tell me to get some weight off. As far as them documenting it, who knows. From consult to surgery, how many appointments did you all have to go to?
