I'm sitting on a plane right now. I looked at the narrow seats, I ALWAYS have to lift the armrest to fit and ask for a seatbelt extension. I was so worried because this plane is packed. Anyway I fit in the seat and was able to buckle my seatbelt without an extension! Does that count as a Non Surgical Victory? I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!! This may seem minor to someone else but I actually have years in my eyes. I have not been able to sit in a regular airline seat for over 26 years!

I love it love it love it!!!! Congrats to you, that is on my bucket list, is to fit into a plane seat without my bottom end spilling over into the next seat or the arm rest having to be lifted up. So happy for you and safe travels.

Fantastic NSV and congratulations.

Just one small thing - NSV stands for Non scale Victory i.e. The wins we Celebrate that aren't about the numbers on the scale.

That is a spectacular NSV. I experienced the same thing when I flew last month. It's not minor at all, it's a massive success. Congrats!

Thanks everyone, when I got off the plane my son said right away that he could definitely see a weight loss in me so that made my NSV even sweeter!

THAT TOTALLY COUNTS!!! That was one of my absolutely favorite moments of my life - getting on an airplane and actually tightening the belt! Good for you!!! Sing it from the mountain tops!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
