Hey Guys!!

I am curious about how things are done by each surgeon. I have a few questions. If any of you have time to answer them that would be great!

1. Where do you get your fills done?

2. Who does the fill?? A doctor or a nurse or other clinician?

3. Is it covered by your insurance or do you pay out of pocket?

4. What is the charge?

5. What insurance are you on?? (also HMO or PPO)

6. What state are you in?

7. Do any of your surgeons provide aftercare as far as dietary classes or

excersise classes or support group with and actual counsellor?

8. Same questions about how it is paid for?? Insurance or private pay and what is the fee?

I am toying with the idea of a business opportunity providing those services. I have been a nurse for 23 yrs and have recently been considering opening a business of my own but all I know how to do is be a nurse.. I would love any input you guys have.

Thanks, Kathy

Kathy, I love your business idea! I think with a dietician, a few LMSWs, some radiology techs (to run the fluoroscope), and a medical director, you have a really lucrative idea. What state are you in? Have you checked out www.fillcenterusa.com? They provide fills at astronomical costs. I think there's a lot of money where you're going.

I get my fills by my doctor at his office. I'm private pay, and it's $100 a fill. But if I go to the surgery center and use the fluoroscope, it's $200. You could probably do very well offering packages, like life-time fills and the other services you provide. My doctor does mass fill appointments - he schedules 50 people for one time and takes about 30 seconds with each patient. Easy money!

My mom is an RN, too, and I helped her start 2 hospices and a home health agency. If you want to ask me anything specific, feel free to PM me.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
