Recommended Posts

I'm on my way to the store to buy baby food for my puréed phase. Does anyone know of or have any suggestions?? I have coupons for beech nut...super tight budget here! Thanks! :)

I have a mini cuisinart. I put everything in there. No need for expensive baby food.< /p>

baby food is for babies... as dee stated, put adult food in blender/vitamixer, add some delicious seasonings and enjoy yourself :)

I only have a blender...will that do? I don't have a food processor or anything like that. Wasn't sure if it would work.

omg I did not find any baby food that was tasty.. it's gross.. don't know how babies eat it... I used to make my daughter's food in my blender .. it will puree enough for what you need... you can buy some Soups and puree them.. I bought some baby food banana's and I had to choke them down....

Only eaten apple sauce or bananas, when I was feeding a baby. If you want apple sauce, eat adult unsweetened. Otherwise, follow guide lines others mentioned! Best wishes, Karen

Dring the puréed stage' date=' I put anything and everything into the blender. You might need to add some broth to thin it down, but anything goes! I even puréed cheese ravioli that my family was having one night.[/quote']

Thank you! This is something to look forward to, as I'm officially day four into pre-op liquid diet and one week away from surgery! I think looking forward to the next phase will get me through each of the phases lol

I really like some baby foods I like the carrots , squash, prunes and well most if the fruits. I don't think I could manage to eat adult food in a blender I think that's kinda gross. My dr didn't recommend baby food he said it is for babies hence the name. I did some anyway

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
