Did anyone else have to self administer an enema before surgery? I am not sure I even know how to do this.

Not for my lapband surgery. If you have to do, you might ask your doctor for alternatives. I drank a liquid when I had my colonoscopy done several years ago.

An ENEMA? Maybe you should verify that the surgeon is working on the topside and not the bottom. lol

Nope ! Check with your Dr but as far as ive heard they're not necessary. My Dr had me on liquids 48 hrs before surgery which took care of anything in my stomach. Never heard of anyone having to have an enema before being banded. Good luck !

I had the choice of either and enema or the magnesium citrate laxative drink before surgery, naturally I chose the drink. I bought the cherry flavor. It is yucky, but boy I will tell you, it sure does work!!!! Stay close to a bathroom:)

Maybe I will ask about the magnesium citrate. It seems like a viable option

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
