debee 47 Posted June 26, 2013 Hairloss is directly related to lack of Protein. Try higher Protein content drinks. I would call and visit my surgeons office. Best luck in your journey!
taylor1989 131 Posted June 26, 2013 Hair loss means you need more protein..also be sure to take Vitamins with Biotin. I just recently bought non flavored Protein Powder so I can mix it with my food to up the Protein amounts. I drink at least one Protein Drink a day (two on gym days) to help me reach my protein goals
kll724 3,055 Posted June 26, 2013 Yes, indeed, add Protein to your drinks to get the extra protein. Best wishes, on Hair loss, I did not have that problem. (I think that my daughter says keratin, tho'(she has that hairloss problem)

srussell8 111 Posted June 28, 2013 Yup - my hair falls out if I don't eat enough Protein. Biotin helps, but protein is the key.
GuyMontag 1,264 Posted June 28, 2013 Personally I think Hair loss is more closely tied with weight loss than Protein. I kept my protein way over what I needed, took Biotin, and still had the hair loss. It's fairly common. While protein and Biotin may help, I think it's just an inevitable side effect of the rapid weight loss. The good news is your hair will thicken again and be fine in the long term after the weight loss stops. 2 KAATNS and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
bambam31 168 Posted June 30, 2013 Initial process is conducive to hair loss not only because of Protein reduction but also due to stress imposed in the body from big changes. Stay focused and it will improve! Brad
