I take chewables, too, but think I'm going to switch to liquid. There are some days when I look at the bottle & walk away; can't deal with it. On those days I take gummies.

Years ago I took a liquid vitamin/mineral supplement that I bought online. I can't remember the name, but I keep searching. They were great Vitamins, and were decent tasting. But you can find liquids in the health food stores....or the Vitamin Shoppe. That may be a good alternative, if you're having ongoing issues with the chewable.< /p>

Yep. I was taken completely off all the Vitamins because they made me dry heave. Doctor told me that we may want to revisit it later and if my B12 comes back low he's going to make me do the B12 shots, but I don't take any vitamins at all right now.

I have a bottle of Nature Made gummies, but (I don't know why) I don't feel that they're potent enough. They seem to be lacking in some areas.

Which ones are y'all taking?

i take gummies and the flintstones kids chewables.< /p>

do they make you nauseated because of the flavor or is it just the Vitamins? until i got used to them I had to take them at night right before bed and this has always been the case even with prenatal pills that you swallow.

Hope something works out, Good luck!

I always to have to eat something or drink a Protein Shake before I take my Vitamins or I get nauseous.

Wow a lot of you guys are saying that you take the gummies but my nutritionist said that I absolutely could not have gummies after surgey. Anyone know why that could be?

I was told out any meds in a 1/2 Vinger for 10 mins. Vinger acts like the acid in ur stomach. If the medicine dissolves you can have it. I'm sure tummies don't.

Your nutritionist is right after surgery it's not good to have gummies, because it's not the right time for this. You need to have proper mediation after surgery.

I just recently saw a commercial for something called VitaMelts.. Guess it melts in your mouth and they come in yummy flavors. I remember when I was first banded, I tried the Bariatric Advantage chewables, they were aweful.. I used the Flinstones, gummies, then finally just went to basic Multi Vitamins you swallow, I take it at night of course as its most easiest for me to swallow.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
