It seems like I always get stuck on greasy food.. Even if I have 2 fries I get stuck (not an everyday kinda thing btw)

You'd think it would go right through?

Is it just one of those things by band can't take?

I have read other entries that seem that what gets stuck is different for each person.

I think when I eat something I should not be eating (even one or two) it does seem like

my guilt makes it get stuck???? I dont know... I am still trying new textures..

Best luck in your journey

I have been stuck on fries. They are probably a no-no for you. Don't eat in the car, that is a bad one to do! My last pb was sitting in the car, rushing to help my daughter pick up her kids from school. We stopped for a snack!

I haven't had a stuck episode yet (nothing significant), but I think they happen from taking too big a bite, and not chewing thoroughly. Also, if food is way too dry.

Wish I had that problem with fries. I've had them (only a few) since being banded, and they go down easily. Though, I don't gobble them; I take bites & chew to a pulp.

I don't PB but I slime a little!

I'm four months in still trying to figure everything out.

I've had to stop this same thing. No eating in the car, ever...lol

I don't think it was so much "greasy" foods. Probably more how you ate the fries, two big of bite, not chewing enough, or you just can't tolerate your potatoes that way.

Whenever I have eaten a fry or two, I have to take very small bites, chew it really good and wait a minute between bites.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
