DiDi 0 Posted May 4, 2006 I know I read something recently but my search skills must be lacking. I need to take some capsules that are sort of a soft gel with liquid inside. They are kind of big & I'm afraid they will get stuck so I've been poking a hole in them & squeezing the liquid out. It tastes yucky  so looking for ideas of what to try. If they are the soft gels try taking them with some warm liquid. I swallowed a stool softener today with warm coffee and had no trouble at all. I had read somewhere thats its okay to do that so I tried and it worked well. unfortunately we just can't find everything in liquid form.
PhotoNut 7 Posted May 4, 2006 I recently had to take two gel cap pain relievers and I wasn't at home so I was very nervous about it. I took them one at a time, with warm Water. I let each one sit in my mouth, in the warm water, for a few seconds before I swallowed it. The outter coating softens and gets slippery so I had no problems. Just take it slow, one at a time, really warm water, and you should be fine.
DiDi 0 Posted May 4, 2006 Great! I just took 1 capsule with warm Water (didn't have anything else handy) and all is well so far. Thanks.
