Probably, but 9 lbs in 8 weeks is good. If you aare hungry and eating what you should not, you might need an additional fill. See your surgeon for advice, tho'.

Are you eating slider foods? I notice that you say that you are eating food that you shouldnt, if you are eating crisps and biscuits that type of thing then getting a fill wont make any difference, you just need to get your head back into the game. If you can eat more normal dry type food than you could before then it is time for another fill.

Perhaps a small one might help . but may I suggest you also get your head in the game ( sorry I hate that expression it's NOT a game) It's your Life!

along with the fills we need to be accountable for what we eat and how much ;) That's why were all here to learn new habits.

Let me play the Devil's advocate :  What IF they told you NOPE NO FILL? your first thought would be OMG what am I going to do ? Well I guess you might need to rethink your food choices and start exercising if your not already?

I think you can see where this headed..yes you probably could use a fill, but what happens on that day they say NO? ;)

GOOD LUCK ...you've already lost 9 lbs that's Awesome Keep up the good work!!

I got a fill a week for the first 8 weeks. I'd recommend frequent fills with less Fluid over large fills infrequently. Smaller fills let your body adapt better and gives you a chance to get used to the new levels of restriction.

I agree you need to control your eating, easier said than done I know, but you can do it...it's mind over matter at this point. Best Wishes :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
