Bridesmaid dress help!

Recommended Posts

I'm having my surgery on June 26th. I will be in a wedding on October 26th. I need to order my bridesmaid dress now so it is here by October, but I'm not sure what size to order! There are two size choices. The first one is Size A (0-12) and the second one is Size B (14-18). Currently I am a size 14/16. I am thinking I should order the size A because I will be smaller by October....The dress is expensive and designer. I can alter only the length, I can't take in the waist or anything else due to the dress material. What would you all do!?

Order the smaller size! You will be smaller by following the protocol

Just a thought... Bridesmaid dresses ALWAYS run SMALL. I would order the 14 which inturn is really like a 10.. You can always take it in.. But not take it out.. Just my opinion...

I would order the bigger size. I know you want the smaller one, but better safe than sorry.

I agree , order the bigger size those dresses do run small especially if its designer , personally ordering the smaller size would make me stress too much

and the more you stress, the more you want to turn to food to relieve it.

I too, would go with the bigger size. It can be taken in, if need be.

Anyway you could order both and return one later? If not, I would order the bigger size! It sounds like the dress would be a one size fits all type with only two sizes anyways? If it is, I don't think it would matter if say you went down to size 12, being that size A is 0-12 and size B is 14-?... What I'm trying to say is that I think you can pull off size B even once you shed some weight :)

I agree, you wouldn't want to stress yourself if you did not lose the weight that you expect to lose by Oct.

I think I'm going to order the size A (0-12). Since the dress can't be taken in at all I don't want to wear a big baggy dress after losing weight! I want to look sexy! And I want to be able to wear the dress several more times as I'm losing weight. Even if I lose only 20lbs between now and the wedding I'll be at a weight where I was a size 12. Hope I'm not making a bad decision! I'll post a pic of me in the dress in October :P

I would check out both of the dress measurements first...if the smaller one is just a bit smaller than the size you are now I would go for the smaller dress..I know if it were me, paying out for a dress would keep my weight loss on track. Best Wishes :)
