DMJ 0340 21 Posted June 12, 2013 Discomfort shouldn't last too long, make sure you do as much walking as possible, as it will help with the gas that makes you feel the discomfort. Also I would encourage you to sip Water and your Protein Drinks constantly to stay hydrated. I must admit I took 2 weeks off of work as I tired easily after surgery. Good luck, stay hydrated! 2 Gregory O'Brien and stept04 reacted to this
stept04 465 Posted June 12, 2013 Did the Dr. put any Fluid in your band at the surgery? I did not run into any problems with sipping anything. So I can only guess if they did not put Fluid in then it is swelling. If they did put fluid in then it still is probably swelling but depending on how much trouble your having swallowing they may want to take some out. I'd call my Dr. to see if it is normal to hurt when you swallow. It may be , but it never hurt with me. ~~~Stephanie
