dream_small2013 19 Posted June 12, 2013 Got all my paper work today from my insurance and weight watchers!! I can start this week which I am going to on Thursday morning I am so excited to start but also really nervous honestly, I have to do 6 months which is 24weeks of WW, which will be broken up into two sessions and I have to attend at least 10 out of 12 meetings. Which ill be trying to go to all of them. And with each session I will need to lose 13lbs which is 26lbs in the 6 months (24wks) so I figure by November 28th I will be completely done with my weight watchers and I should be getting banded in December or beginning of January at the latest. so happy still can't believe this is really going to happen. 3 DELETE THIS ACCOUNT!, can_do and Quahog reacted to this
B-52 7,113 Posted June 12, 2013 My insurance would not accept anything like WW....it had to be a program with licensed medical personnel including a MD to sign off my weekly progress notes....
dream_small2013 19 Posted June 12, 2013 Oh wow really, did that bother you? They are also assigning a nutritionist to me as well for each week to help with meals during WW and for when I get banded, everything is all paid in full as well for me, I'm definitely gonna take advantage of everything so I can reach my full potential 1 stept04 reacted to this
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted June 12, 2013 I think it's wonderful you're taking these steps towards health! I also think it's great they allow Weight Watchers. It's a lot easier to follow than a lot of the doctor supervised diets out there. You'll do great! 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and stept04 reacted to this
☠carolinagirl☠ 18,721 Posted June 12, 2013 my (diet) history included WW and also TOPS...i am guessing from what my ins/dr said, as long as there is (proof) of these meetings (aka weigh ins) it would be considered proof of past dieting attempts.. GREAT job..WW is a great place to go for support. 1 stept04 reacted to this
Toddy 758 Posted June 12, 2013 My insurance company accepted my WW weigh-in booklet even though at the time I wasn't attending regularly.
