That made me smile!!! These are the things that people who are not in our shoes would never understand. I totally get it and I'm smiling HUGE for you!!! So fun!! Keep up the good work!! I have had a couple strange NSV's lately too...the necklace I wear every day hangs into my cleavage now....LOL guess Im losing weight in my neck! And this one was really weird when I noticed it...when I wash my face now I can feel my cheek bones and jaw line. It was an awesome realization when it happened! :) Keep sharing your Silly NSV's! They are motivational and fun to hear!!

It's the little things along the way that make a BIG difference. Each one is like fuel for the soul. Something as simple as a towel wrapping further around my/our body......HAPPY!

Today I'm going out to lunch with my sister, and I wasn't sure what to wear. My jeans are bagging, and we're going to a nice place. Low & behold, I pulled a pair of pants out of the closet that I haven't worn in two years. Fit like a glove! HAPPY! Now, I have something new to wear. My closet goes from a size 6 to a 22. Going through what's hanging in there, is like going shopping for a smaller size.

Everyone.....keep posting these little victories. I LOVE to hear them!!!

Awesome!!!

Mine was discovering that the huge bump between my breasts was not a growth, but in fact my sternum! I never felt it before. :-)

Fitting in a booth instead of having to ask for a table because you can't eat being wedged in a booth.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
