rybearsmomma 106 Posted June 7, 2013 Hello everyone! I'm new posting here but I have been reading for a while now. I find a lot of your stories very inspiring. I just started the process and have my 2nd class in 2 weeks. I'm super excited and nervous all at the same time. Now I can finally find out what "mushy" foods are and all the lingo that goes along with being banded. 2 dylanmiles23 and 2muchfun reacted to this

Kime-lou 648 Posted June 7, 2013 Welcome and congrats. You will learn quick. But, remember if you have a question- ASK!! Make sure you have a good line of communication with your doctor- he/she can be your BFF in this process. One last bit of advice- don't stress. Every thing will be fine- the journey should be taken one day at a time, or it can be over whelming. 2 mrsto and rybearsmomma reacted to this
rybearsmomma 106 Posted June 7, 2013 Great advice! I've been in contact with them, and they are wonderful. I just made the choice on Lap band 2 weeks ago and went to my first "class" only an hour and a lot of info, my next one is a one on one and it's 2.5 hours. I think that's where they really dive into the info
Kime-lou 648 Posted June 7, 2013 Make a list of questions and take them- this always helps me. 1 rybearsmomma reacted to this
mrsto 2,925 Posted June 7, 2013 Congratulations on taking a huge step toward a healthier YOU. As Kime-lou said, try not to stress out too much (even though it comes with the territory). Between your doctor and his/her staff....AND this site, you will have plenty of support. It can be a bit of a roller coaster ride in the beginning, but then you get into a new rhythm & it becomes the new "normal". 1 rybearsmomma reacted to this

can_do 195 Posted June 7, 2013 I read all I could prior to surgery. Alex's book was a great help. The link for it is on the bottom of the page. 1 rybearsmomma reacted to this
