ANewMe428 125 Posted June 7, 2013 I've had my 2nd fill this week on Monday. I'm up to about 5 cc in a 10cc band. I just attempted to eat what I ate the day before my fill & I vomited for the 1st time half way thru. I was attempting to eat a small salad with fat free dressing & a turkey sloppy joe sandwich on a whole wheat thin. needless to say I'm staying away from any bread & salads. I was ok eatin the sloppyjoe alone... did I do something wrong? 1 brianb reacted to this
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted June 7, 2013 Did you go on lliquids for 24 hours after the fill? 1 TBone55 reacted to this
catfish87 3,471 Posted June 7, 2013 Sounds to me like you did something RIGHT! You paid attention to what you did, and LEARNED. Good job! It'll take some time, but to be successful, You will have to do just what you did....learn and adjust. Congrats! Hopefully, you're referring to the food that was above/stuck in your band coming back up. True vomiting the food below your band is a bad thing. 5 brianb, cindya, ANewMe428 and 2 others reacted to this

sweetsoutherngirl 32 Posted June 7, 2013 I always do liquids for a day and then mushies, working my way back to solid food by day 3 or 4. I cant tolerate bread unless it is toasted and in very small amounts. 1 TBone55 reacted to this
2muchfun 8,927 Posted June 7, 2013 Eating too fast is so difficult for we bandsters to give up. Years of eating too big, swallowing without chewing adequately and too fast is a hard habit to break. And like the other posters said, bread and lettuce are difficult foods for some of us to tolerate. But, the silver lining is, you're closing in on restriction aka green zone. This means your band is starting to limit your intake. Just slow down a little and look for those satiety signals. tmf 3 enjoythetime, catfish87 and brianb reacted to this

I'm still learning to chew a lot & slow down. I'm happy as u said about closing in on my GREEN ZONE. I'm happy to have restriction. I'm going to go to mushy foods for a few days as a precaution. 1 2muchfun reacted to this
brianb 81 Posted June 10, 2013 I'm so jealous of your fill. I had my second fill a couple of weeks back and still don't feel much of a change. Going in for a third fill today. Hope to finally hit restriction.
