Don't get disappointed if you don't feel a lot better in a week.

I am 3 weeks post surgery and I can say I now feel great!

Give it at least 2 weeks. Your body is in shock and will take time to heal.

Hang in there, we all went through it and can tell you each new day will be a better day.

I've been out of surgery for 6 hours. I had bad nausea and kep dry heaving. I hurt like a mofo and any I feel like someone punched me several times in the stomach. I'm staying over night because of the Äry heaves and coughing/gagging fits.

Would I do it again?

ask me in about a week lol

Great!! Keep us updated on your progress.

I'm home today! I feel partially human, but the gas is kicking my tushie!! One thing for sure, broth and popsicles are my BEST FRIEND!!

I'm starving though, well until I eat a popsicle then I am full for about 10 minutes..lol then I'm hungry all over again.

When should I start on stage 2 diet?

I would hurt someone for some yogurt..lol but I'm still sore and I do not want to push it at all... I guess just talking about it makes me feel better and makes me not want to screw it up, so I am going to stick to the clear liquid diet for at least another day until the soreness goes away.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
