Iziksmom 0 Posted May 3, 2006 Okay, this may be a really stupid question,:grouphug: but does anyone know of any problems with sex in the missionary position??? I'm afraid my husband's weight (albeit 160 lbs.) might jar the band loose or the port. I meant to ask the doctor last time I was in but totally forgot. Just wondering if anyone has discussed this with their doctor....
ladysplenda 1 Posted May 3, 2006 Nope It is getting better everyday. I do not think the band will come lose. I was told I could ride rides at sixflags. So it should be safe to ride my cowboy.Yeeeeeeee Haw
Jachut 487 Posted May 3, 2006 Nah, I wouldnt think so. Although if my husband rested his full weight on top of me in that postiion for any lenght of time I'd probably suffocate.
maryb 1 Posted May 3, 2006 Tell him to support his weight on his hands and arms until you feel comfortable with it.
Desi80 1 Posted May 3, 2006 nope never was a problem, my Dr just said do whatever feels comfortable
EmileeKaye 1 Posted May 3, 2006 I really dont think so. My boyfriend weighs 280(he's 6'9) and its fine during sex. When he puts his full weight on me, then its heavy of course and the port feels pressure, but nothing bad.
I'llsucceed 1 Posted May 3, 2006 Best advice is what ever feels ok to you is best. I can say that at about 7 mnths post-op & the activity level that my boyfriend & I have (tmi ;0) there is no amount of anything that could losen or damage or move or injure a band or port ;0) He is 249. EmileeKaye 1 Posted May 3, 2006 Oh, but I guess I should add, I didn't have sex for almost a year after surgery, so lot's of healing time....and then it was my first time(Sorry TMI), so really I have nothing to compare to pre-band or post-band sex.
princess_n_thep 2 Posted May 3, 2006 I waited 6 weeks for it just to make sure. Then, all was fair and the circus was on!
Morsaille 4 Posted May 3, 2006 I had my hand over my port within the first three weeks. <- does this make sense :grouphug: ? Sometimes I can feel my port when I lean over the edge of the counter, but it doesn't hurt. That is the ONLY position I have ever been in and felt banded. Nah, the band is safe. It could hardly be nicknamed the 'fertility band' if sex was suddenly off-limits, right?
HeatherGurl 0 Posted May 3, 2006 If my 300+ pound hubby can rest his weight on me, I doubt you will have a problem with your 160 lb DH :grouphug: Like everyone else said... do what is comfortable. I also kept my hand over my port area the first couple of weeks (Like I could hold it in place if it decided to move?) Just stop if your body is telling you to. HAVE FUN!!! :huggie:
