Saboo 6 Posted June 5, 2013 I start my liquid diet on the 12th of this month. Have question if your on All Clear Liquids diet for 1 week, what do you do if your sugar drops since your not eating food. Is that when the 5 Protein Drinks they have me drinking a day come in and help?

stept04 465 Posted June 6, 2013 Unless your a diabetic there shouldn't be a problem as long as you do everything the Doc. and Nutritionist says. I was worried about the same thing, but the nut (nutritionist) was just concerned if I was diabetic. I had no problems at all on my liquid diet. If your really concerned call your nut and ask them what you do if that happens ~~~Stephanie
MiniMi 1,468 Posted June 6, 2013 Not gonna lie, first three days are pretty bad as far as physical hunger goes but no sugar drops occurred. Can you start on the weekend instead? If you work it may be hard.i would rather do a few extra days of all liquid and start on the weekend than have to do it at work. But that's just me. The work can also be a distraction. You are about to be amazed at how little food your body really needs to survive.

Oh and if you have the mind set That it is a medical necessity for you to be a liquid diet it'll make it go by quicker. It's not just a diet it's the difference between having Laparoscopic or open surgery.
jsws91 153 Posted June 6, 2013 that's what helped me... knowing it was for my liver and the surgery, not for weight loss. I had 3 weeks liquid pre op.. I think it helps when you have to do the liquid phase after too. im one week post op and the liquid is not so bad right now..
