My stomach growled for two months. Before, during, and after eating. But it stopped as suddenly as it started.

Try to limit yogurt to 8 oz. at a time. Light and fit dannon 2x Protein is my fav for only 80cal.

Love that you and your stomach ARE CONVERSING!! Too funny. : )

I am so glad to hear that the stomach growling is normal....mine has been talking to me for weeks, except I don't speak it's language yet.

Here's a funny tidbit about that....

I serve as a guide for a blind sportswriter. I went to my first Yankee game serving as a guide last Wednesday since I had the surgery. We eat in the press dining room. I had to find something I could eat besides the ol' stadium staples of hot dogs and sausage sandwiches. I decided to try the salmon they were serving that night. I'm not sure, but I think the salmon didn't sit well in my new, mini-sized tummy.

Somewhere around the fifth inning, my friend took off his headphones (He listens to the game on the radio) as we sat in the pressbox. It is a noisy environment, open to the crowd noise. He turns to me and asks, "What the hell is that noise?" (He actually heard that?????)

I told him I thought that maybe the salmon was deciding to swim back upstream.

First off thank you all for listening. I really enjoy having a forum that I can come to. I a just wondering. I am a week out and I just introduced full liquids into my diet. I can't differentiate the feelings in my belly' date=' there is a growl and a rumble and sometimes I feel hungry and others it passes. I just had my gall bladder out in Feb also so that could be a lot of it. My insides screaming WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME LOL! However, how much should I be eating say of the 100 calorie fat free greek yogurt. A whole small container? A half? Just want to make sure that I have the most success![/quote']

I too am one week out from surgery and in this same stage. My dr. Gave me some sample day meal plans and they say 6 oz however the onces they request you eat with artificial sweetner comes in one size- or at leastthe ones I can find are 5.3oz.

I should have been more specific they said the yogurt should be 6oz not everything else. I understood not to exceed a cup at any time......im no where able to get that much in though!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
