OMG - I was down 90 pounds today!!! I thought I was going to hang around 214 for a while before moving down again, since I have only touched it a couple of times. But this morning I was a solid 213! Whoo hooo!

I am wearing a size 18 outfit today. That is with the help of a very strong body-briefer, but I am squished into a size 18 regardless! lol ;)

Just 10 more to go to my century mark... Gotta keep drinking that Water and moving my body!

For those of you who compare weight/size, I am 5'6", weigh 214 and fit (barely) into a women's 18. I am relatively evenly proportioned, although I do carry more weight throughout my hips and belly. My tops tend to fit bigger on me than the bottoms.

Donali

Wow! 90 pounds is phenomenal! Good for you!

We are about the same frame (or used to be!), I'm 5'6" and weigh 265.5 at this point. Surgery is in June! Can't wait! Actually, when I went to see my surgeon, she said I was 5'51/4". I've always been 5'6"! I must be shrinking (somewhere, anyway!)

Thanks for all the great posts! You really do your research and I appreciate your sharing here on the board!

wow, Donali. fantastic goal-news! I'm so happy for u, feels like I've lost the 90lbs too! Which I haven't so can really stand back and appreciate you getting so far - this band is a great tool but boy, does it require a lot of effort to keep it working.

Well done, and am totally supporting you all the way through the last ten pounds to the Bandsters Holy Grail of -100lbs mark!

Congratulations, Donali, really. This is the first time in my long, sad, weight-loss-failing life that I can look at the successes of other people and believe they are waiting there for me as well. You're truly an inspiration and I'm so glad you hang out here to share your peace and non-dieting vibes with all of us!

WE'RE RIGHT BEHIND YOU, LADY!! WATCH YOUR BACK! ;) ;)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
