LIke the above poster I too cannot eat breakfast anymore since getting the band except I do have my coffee. It takes me a good 3 to 4 hours after waking up to even start getting any type of hunger pains, then I have either 1 egg and a piece of toast or a bowl of oatmeal, but that I cant eat the whole bowl. Some people drink fruit smoothies or a Protein Drink too.

Yogurt and granola. love it. Can't have it right now though, I'm only on liquids. If you let it sit the granola will soften up some, if you need that.

We've made some strawberry and banana smoothies with just adding a little OJ and ice in the blender with a banana and cut up strawberries and it is very good. I'll eat some Kashi Cereal since it has a lot of Protein in it and I'll add some blueberries. It will hold me for a while.

I always prefer to Protein rich foods in breakfast because these foods provide energy for the whole day.

I take apple, milk, yogurt, fresh orange juice, eggs, and cheese in my routine breakfast.

I am not a big fan of eggs. Is there any way to spruce up scrambled eggs to make them taste better?

I saw egg beaters yesterday that were like southwest or florentine. Adds a little flavor.

1/2 box ready made premier nutrition vanilla Protein Shake (Costco)

1/4 cup frozen blueberries

1/2 banana

1/2 cup cut up mango

Ice

Blend till smooth. Delicious!!

I eat hard cooked eggs. I remove the yolks since they don't agree with me, but two hard cooked egg whites are only 34 calories with 8 grams of Protein. If I'm still hungry, I have Greek yogurt-Dannon Light & Fit is 12 grams of protein and only 80 calories.

During the weekdays I'm so lazy, I usually just stick to my Protein Shake or some cottage cheese w pineapple (publix brand is my favorite). During the weekends I'll make an egg white scramble with onions, peppers, tomatoes, and ham... yumm..

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
