It depends on your Dr., they usually want you on a Protein shake or drink. One is clear one is milky. The best thing to do is talk to your Dr. They did not give you a list on what you could have? Sorry I could not be more help. I was on a high Protein clear liquid diet and was able to have 3 to 4 protein shakes(the milky ones)a day along with Clear liquids.

Depends on what your Doctor told you to do, The Pre-op diet varies so much, or at least from what I've seen others posting here. If your Doctor told you Clear Liquids to me that means

Clear liquid diet

Definition

A clear liquid diet consists of clear liquids, such as Water, broth and plain Gelatin, that are easily digested and leave no undigested residue in your intestinal tract. Your doctor may prescribe a clear liquid diet before certain medical procedures or if you have certain digestive problems. Because a clear liquid diet can't provide you with adequate calories and nutrients, it shouldn't be continued for more than a few days.

I don't think I've ever seen any Doctor recommend a complete He might have meant a liquid diet? a reduction of fats, sugar yes but not clear.

Mine said liquids all day with only 1 meal being 300 calories or less ( Lean cuisine etc..)
