grownazzkid 206 Posted June 23, 2013 Howdy fellow riders! I have been on a tear this last week riding 80+ miles over the last 6 days. I do a mix of cycling (manicured paths) & mountain bike trail riding... both with my 2013 GT Timberline 1.0 29'er. I do not like to ride on the street, so my options are pretty limited. Luckily, I have two great locations to choose from - both less than 15 min drive. Anyone else use Endomondo for tracking? If so, send me a friend req... Here is a link of my tracked rides. http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/user/9051260 2 KAATNS and Terry Poperszky reacted to this

ADJL 685 Posted June 24, 2013 I love reading this thread. Not posting because while we tried to make a go of it...the 4 year old can't keep up yet...so I'm looking to add a bike trailer for her with the baby in the seat behind me since he's too little to be in the trailer still. I'll be lugging around an extra 60 pounds and we won't be doing any century rides anytime soon, but at least I'll be biking! 5 KAATNS, Terry Poperszky, catfish87 and 2 others reacted to this
catfish87 3,471 Posted June 24, 2013 Somtimes the best intentions dont go your way....back to back flats! Guess I should have found and picked out the TINY little stone in my tire yesterday..... Today, forgot my phone, went back to get it, then my bluetooth headset wouldn't work (gotta have tunes!), a mile into the "ride", back tire flats again.....luckily I had stopped and picked up a couple more tubes yesterday after the flat. So, I changed it and came home and cut the grass in 95* temps...hoping this isn't a vision of whats to come with these gatorskins... I didn't have ANY flats with my last set of tires. grownazzkid 206 Posted June 25, 2013 Nothing more frustrating than getting derailed early in a ride. But I guess that is a little better than half way out I'm taking a day off, after 6 straight. But I will be back on it tomorrow. 1 catfish87 reacted to this

flrosie 154 Posted June 26, 2013 REO Speedwagon has some good lyrics in this song.....KEEP PUSHIN! I found my speed tends to match the beat of the music I'm hearing. It has made me replace my Josh Groban & bread for CCR, CSN&Y, and Steppenwolf! 1 catfish87 reacted to this
Terry Poperszky 2,784 Posted June 26, 2013 Ok, perfect day for a ride and a NSV, last year I struggled to maintain 15 MPH average for 10 miles and never made it, 14.9 was the closest I came. Since being banded in January I was able to break that goal early this year, and on today's ride I maintained 17.1 MPH average for 26.29 miles. Time: 1:32, avg. speed 17.1, distance 26.29, calories 1334 Now I have just enough time to shower and pack for a business trip, that and a mini-vacation for the family will keep me off of my bike until next week. 2 KAATNS and catfish87 reacted to this
