marilynnalexis 3 Posted May 31, 2013 Hi everyone, this is my first post, I had my surgery May 16th. Since then I lost 14 lb but for the last week it has completely stopped. I usually eat about 800-1000 calories a day and walk about a mile or swim for 45 min. A typical day for me is 2 eggs for Breakfast and 1 slice of rye toast, lunch. chicken salad on spinach, and fish or turkey for dinner. I'm sticking to one cup. I don't have tons of restriction but do notice I stay fuller longer. I go for my first fill on June 11, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I'm just not losing. Any suggestions? hely88 883 Posted May 31, 2013 You are still healing. It is normal to stall or gain. My advice don't look at the scale for awhile. 1 stept04 reacted to this
labwalker 1,177 Posted May 31, 2013 More Protein at lunch wouldn't hurt. Maybe move one of the eggs to lunch? Other than that, it sounds like you are doing everything right. Exercise, watching what you eat and monitoring everything. I'd consult with your NUT regarding protein and calorie intake to be on the safe side. 1 stept04 reacted to this
Cooper123 93 Posted May 31, 2013 I wouldn't worry about it, it sounds like you're doing everything right and you WILL lose weight even if you plateau for a while, just keep doing what your doing. We've all been trough this. Keep us posted. 1 stept04 reacted to this
Spaness2012 609 Posted May 31, 2013 It's normal for the body to stall in an effort to get used to all the changes. Have patience...sounds like your doing well!! 1 stept04 reacted to this
☠carolinagirl☠ 18,721 Posted May 31, 2013 if you are losing inches, then you are losing regardless to what the scale says. just keep doing what you are doing as it is working. it may not seem like it, but it is plus you are still newly banded. give your body some time to heal/rest after surgery and it sounds as if you are doing the exactly correct things. good job. 1 stept04 reacted to this

feelinggood 152 Posted June 2, 2013 When you are doing all the right things the weight WILL come off. Be patient with the scale. Fat turns to liquid before it is expelled so it is not instantaneous. Drink plenty of Water - it will help.
