I've lost about the same since surgery. Most of my loss has been in the past week even though the scale had stayed the same two days. I was told I wouldn't lose much after surgery until my first or second fill

My goal for June is to lose 15 pounds

Have you thought about joining a gym? Even if you only go three times a week, you will be burning extra calories.

Everyone losses weight at different rates. So long as your weight is going down, I wouldn't let it bother me. Also, sugars are carbs, and if you can substitute Protein it would help. I never thought I touch yogurt, but after my surgery I found that it wasn't all that bad :)

I wouldn't compare yourself to others; although I know that sometimes that is hard not to do. You are doing well.

Everyone is different and will lose a different amount each week, month, etc. If you think you are not losing as much as you should, I'd suggest going to speak to your doctor.

I'm trying to drink extra Water to help move things out and along! I sit during the day too at work. I will walk at lunch time and I try to get up every 30 minutes to walk to the Water cooler, walk around a little bit, as much as I can.

You are doing well though-don't get down on yourself!!!

I'm struggling too. I had good losses the first month when I was doing my pre-op diet and my week after surgery I lost the most. Now I feel like I'm at a stand still. I have noticed I am slipping back into some old behaviors. I'm trying to work on that. Just had my second fill yesterday. I hope it makes a difference for me.

It can be difficult to lose early on if you don't have good restriction yet. It took me about 18 fills to get good restriction believe it or not. Also, track what you eat if you can and find what works for you. For me the routine of skipping Breakfast, eating low carb high protein/fat foods, and exercising works the best. I found that I gained or didn't lose when eating or drinking soda, fruit, fruit juices, sweets, oatmeal, breads, granola, etc. Also, as a rule of thumb i've found that weight loss is about 80/20 diet/exercise.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
