Will a band loosen with weight loss, assuming there are fatty layers between the band stomach pouch? This popped into my head the other day, and I'm curious if this does indeed exist or happens. Jam2009 3 Posted May 31, 2013 That's a curious question, however, my lap band was done in May 2009 and I haven't had any problems. I know it is still there but I have adjusted to eating correctly so sometimes I feel that it has deflated or slid off but then I eat wrong and am quickly reminded that it is where it's suppose to be, just remember to have your yearly checkups.
