I had the band put in 6 years ago and up until august I was doing fine. Then something happened and I somehow had Fluid in the band when there should have been none. It was so tight all I could do was drink. Nothing else would go down. Since then I have found out I have Gerd and I. Lactose intolerant. I can't eat anything with dairy because I get has pains and bloating for days. My boyfriend wants me to get it removed but I am 16 lbs away from my goal and have ready lost 107. I don't want to put it back on. Has anyone had these types of problems?

elsasmom, you need to call your bariatric surgeon's office. You may have had a slip or something else. My surgeon said that my port did a slight flip because the skin got too tight around it. he said a lot of people need to have a smaller port placed after huge weightloss. Anyway, you need an appointment to check your band. Best wishes. I agree with you, I would not have the band taken out. But, that is just my opinion. Everyone has one, you have to make up your own! I had an unfill and they emptied it out and then there was Fluid in it some how. It was almost totally filled. I have days where I eat really well and then there are days when I can't eat anything. It drives me nuts. Especially with the lactose intolerance and the Gerd. It makes it hard to eat healthy
