ellasmom1222 0 Posted May 31, 2013 I had the band put in 6 years ago and up until august I was doing fine. Then something happened and I somehow had Fluid in the band when there should have been none. It was so tight all I could do was drink. Nothing else would go down. Since then I have found out I have Gerd and I. Lactose intolerant. I can't eat anything with dairy because I get has pains and bloating for days. My boyfriend wants me to get it removed but I am 16 lbs away from my goal and have ready lost 107. I don't want to put it back on. Has anyone had these types of problems? kll724 3,055 Posted May 31, 2013 elsasmom, you need to call your bariatric surgeon's office. You may have had a slip or something else. My surgeon said that my port did a slight flip because the skin got too tight around it. he said a lot of people need to have a smaller port placed after huge weightloss. Anyway, you need an appointment to check your band. Best wishes. I agree with you, I would not have the band taken out. But, that is just my opinion. Everyone has one, you have to make up your own! ellasmom1222 0 Posted May 31, 2013 I had an unfill and they emptied it out and then there was Fluid in it some how. It was almost totally filled. I have days where I eat really well and then there are days when I can't eat anything. It drives me nuts. Especially with the lactose intolerance and the Gerd. It makes it hard to eat healthy
