stept04 465 Posted May 30, 2013 Can you possibly stretch out your pouch on liquids? I am so bloated and full when I drink anything. It does not feel like gas, but I guess it could be. I had my surgery Tuesday. ~~~Stephanie

Liquids pass right through the band. 1 stept04 reacted to this
Nenny101 27 Posted May 30, 2013 I think you are just worrying over nothing... I was feeling full and bloated for the first few days as well. I'm now about 7 days in and I am feeling a lot better.... Ps- had the same thoughts running through my head too. I'm a worry-wort. I would hope they placed it secure enough to handle fluids we would be sick before the slip occurred... 1 stept04 reacted to this
mrsto 2,925 Posted May 30, 2013 Stephanie - just take small sips & drink slowly right now. I don't believe that liquid can stretch the pouch, but I have to say that I've had the same question running through my head. In the beginning, I was bloated like you, but it's completely gone, and now I can drink almost like before surgery. Just because I can, I wonder if it's okay?? I'll be interested to see the responses by more seasoned veterans 1 stept04 reacted to this

ksaug21 81 Posted May 31, 2013 No, you are probably very swollen. My surgeon told me that it takes at least 4-5 weeks to fully heal. I felt bloated too and then there is all the gas to deal with. 1 stept04 reacted to this
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted May 31, 2013 If you gulp liquids, you may feel stuffed, but it will pass through. 1 stept04 reacted to this
