forensic6 89 Posted May 30, 2013 I had my first fill yesterday (2 cc) and I'm feeling pretty rough. I was able to drink Water yesterday, after the fill, but I drink a little Isopure last night and woke up 5-6 times after aspirating it hours later. Now I'm sitting at the hospital waiting for an unfill. I have a question for anyone who's had a similar experience: can you gauge how much you need removed as saline is withdrawn based upon the ability for liquids sitting on top of the band to begin passing through? My doctor was hesitant to give the fill yesterday because of how well my loss had been since surgery April 17 (15 lbs but all within the first 3 weeks). Now I'm worried he might take out too much. JACKIEO85 308 Posted May 30, 2013 I'd have to say no, and it's different for everyone I would get a fill, could drink half a bottle of H20 in office and then the day after feel the restriction to the point of being too tight. went to liquids and if the feeling passed great ,if not then I'd get an unfill. It's NEVER a good idea to stay tight, go for the happy medium. Being able to eat small amounts, with a steady slow weight loss. Aspirating or Vomiting is NEVER a good option. CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted May 30, 2013 Everyone is different. My doc usually only removes 0.5 cc at a time if I am too full! 1 forensic6 reacted to this
pgkpjs 113 Posted May 30, 2013 I have decided that I will only do small fills as a larger fill usually causes problems. I suspect it is too big an adjustment of habits and it is a vicious cycle. Too much change causes discomfort, discomfort makes me tighter and the cycle continues. 1 forensic6 reacted to this
forensic6 89 Posted May 30, 2013 He ended up removing 1cc and I felt 100% better right away. I've been able to get down almost 2 Isopure drinks so I'm good on Protein apparently. I'm pretty hungry though!
