North Chicago Surgeon suggestions

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here. I've been doing a lot of research on lapband, and I think I'm ready for my first consult. I need to find a surgeon though. I'm in Skokie which is north of Chicago. Anyone have suggestions?

Thanks!

Cool! We're from the same area!

I used dr Vafa Shayani in Bolingbrook but the drive is a pain (about 45 mins from my house but he also has an office in Oakbrook which is 35 mins)

At Skokie hospital they have a barbaric team that includes dr Erwin denham who I hear is good. I met him once and he seems really sweet

Thanks! Yeah - I saw a lot about Dr. Denham and tried to make an appointment, but he is quite difficult to get into. So I have an appointment with someone in his practice (John Linn) - hoping he's as good as Denham.

Hey there! I live in the far northwest burbs...think Waucounda area. I made my first consult with Dr. Rantis of the Kane Center which is located in Hoffman Estates. They have a really great team of doctors there. My first consult was just for me to get more information. I made an appointment to meet with him again in July. Looking forward to it because I believe I'm now ready. :) Good luck with your consult.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
