No, not at all. Its a simple procedure where you lay on your back, they find your port, and insert a needle into the port. I think it hurts less than getting blood drawn. It's a tiny sting.

I didn't feel my fist fill either... Then he said "Oopps, I missed the hole in the port"!!! Lets just say the 2nd and 3rd try were a little painful ... LOL!! My luck!! My hubby, however, thought it was hilarious!! He went back with me because I was scared.

I did get a nasty bruise, but other than that... the pain wasn't really that bad. I just hope it doesn't happen on my 2nd fill.. It is on the 10th!
