ANewMe428 125 Posted May 28, 2013 I've been banded 3weeks & I've had an adjustment (3.5cc in band) My dietician says stick to 1000-1200 calories a day. I get in exercise & I track my intake, take Vitamins, etc. But I'm able to eat the calories & it seems to be more then 1 cup of food @ a Time & it doesn't keep me full 5hrs or longer. I'm getting a lot of Protein. But I'm afraid I'm not gonna drop any pounds. What can I do? Should I get another fill? My only restriction is bread. Other then that I can have whatever thus far. 1 PrettyThick1 reacted to this
GuyMontag 1,264 Posted May 28, 2013 My general rule of thumb was to keep getting fills until I could not comfortably eat a sandwich or a cheeseburger. If you get too tight you will regret it later. I generally eat and get hungry about 4 hours later. My general day goes like this, wake up around 8am, eat around Noon, 6pm and maybe a snack around 9pm. I also make sure to drink liquids nonstop when i'm not eating as this helps me maintain my 'full' feeling. 5 parisshel, cindya, ANewMe428 and 2 others reacted to this
ANewMe428 125 Posted May 28, 2013 I believe that maybe my problem guyaMontag. My liquid intake. Most days I'm getting nowhere near 64oz of Water. Ill have about half that. My schedule. .. Breakfast @1030a, lunch @ 2p. dinner @6-8 times for dinner varies. An maybe a snack about 9ish...
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted May 28, 2013 Increase the Fluid intake to help lose more weight. I know it seems counter to logic, but it will work!
taylor1989 131 Posted May 29, 2013 I get starving about two hours after meals so I sip on Water to help otherwise I find myself snacking on little things...as soon as I stopped the snacking between I started seeing a slow change from the scale. I need a food journal bad.. But sometimes it's hard to get enough Water in as well so I get where you are coming from 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
ANewMe428 125 Posted May 29, 2013 I'm gonna try to get in more Water. I really wanna lose. I'm hoping my dietitian says come in for another fill. I wanna feel restriction but not be too tight.
kristinc1985 111 Posted May 29, 2013 Be patient. You're in bandster hell. It's going to take a bit to find your green zone. Until then, just be mindful. If you do, you'll still loose. 1 ANewMe428 reacted to this
ANewMe428 125 Posted May 29, 2013 Thnx kristinc. I'm not liking banster hell at all. Next week is one month post op. We will see what the scales say....
kristinc1985 111 Posted May 29, 2013 Oh I completely understand. Bandster hell totally sucks. Don't get me wrong. But we all go through it, and like I said it may take a month or so to feel in the green zone. Just be patient, don't be hard on yourself, and be mindful with food. You got this! ANewMe428 125 Posted May 30, 2013 Thnx. I'm trying to be very mindful of what I eat. I'm trying to burn more calories then I consume. I hope that works. .

kristinc1985 111 Posted May 30, 2013 You're going to be fine. And honestly, if you gain a pound or two in the process, it's not the end of the world. scales love to fluctuate. Just relax, follow the rules, and enjoy the ride, girl. 1 ANewMe428 reacted to this

kristinc1985 111 Posted May 31, 2013 I know that very well too. I was almost 300 pounds. It's so hard. Very, very hard. But remember... All good things come to those who wait... And slow and steady wins the race!! 1 ANewMe428 reacted to this
