Hi all!

It's been a while since I've posted on any Lap-Band board. I thought I would check in at spotlight and re-introduce myself and get support because I know that I need it. I don't know why I let my busy life get in the way of posting because I realize that posting and keeping helps me to be more successful!

My name is Melinda, I go by Mindy on most Lap-Band boards. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I have been married for 14 years to a wonderful and supportive husband. He supported me 100% with my decision to be banded. He was never one to say anything to me about my weight in the first place, but he knew I would never truly be happy until I had lost weight. I was very lucky to have a very supportive family and great friends. I have two great sons, 13 and 7. My 13 year old tells me all the time how proud he is of me. My little 7 year old comes up and tells me, "Mom, your getting littler"

I was banded October 1, 2002 by Dr. Rumbaut in Monterrey, Mexico. Other then marrying my husband and having my kids, it was the best decision of my life!! I have lost about 65 lbs. slowly but surely. I just got a fill this month so things are moving right along again.
