choosesuccess 16 Posted May 23, 2013 I went for my aftercare appt today. I didn't lose a pound but maintained which is good. Of course I have lost 80 lbs in 9 months. This is my first time not losing since surgery 8.30.12. Not upset just wondering if anyone has experienced this and suggestions how to overcome a plateau. I did lose another size which I love! 2 enjoythetime and PrettyThick1 reacted to this
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted May 23, 2013 Inches are losing! Everyone one of us has hit a plateau along the way. Focus on portion sizes and.or weighing your food. Keep up your exercise program. Sometimes the system just stalls. Talk to your doctor or nutritionist if you cannot get back on track. 2 PrettyThick1 and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
JenWis6 98 Posted May 23, 2013 I went for my aftercare appt today. I didn't lose a pound but maintained which is good. Of course I have lost 80 lbs in 9 months. This is my first time not losing since surgery 8.30.12. Not upset just wondering if anyone has experienced this and suggestions how to overcome a plateau. I did lose another size which I love! Been there. Actually mine lasted almost 8 weeks and I just saw the scale start moving once again this past week. I was getting so frustrated. In the past I would have turned to food, this time I just kept on doing what I was doing. Just keep doing what you are doing and your body will catch up. Kime-lou 648 Posted May 23, 2013 Yes, right about the same time yours did. My doc said it was normal and I must continue the course. For some carb cycling works, increasing exercise, increasing Protein. There is no flat answer, everyone's body work differently. After having my 1 year post op blood work done, the doc called today and said that my Vit D is extremely low and I need to get on a supplement now. The nurse had called me last week and told me, but hadn't seemed so dire. Turns out this could be the reason why it's taken me 5 months to lose 10lbs. Your body must have adequate Vit D to lose weight. Go Fig. Anyway, headed to the drug store today to stock up on Vit D.

justathing2me 146 Posted May 23, 2013 I've only lost 8lbs in the last few months. It's definitely taking longer as I get closer to goal. Good luck!
