I am doing a preop diet. I started it Thursday (kind of) and I've lost 4.5 lbs since then. I am supposed to replace 2 meals with Protein shakes and then the 3rd meal is a lean meat and some green leafy vegetable. I can have 1 cup of fruit. And sugar free Jello and sugar free Popsicles in the mean time. It isn't easy that is for sure, but it also isn't terrible. Yesterday was hard as we went to dinner for any early Father's Day celebration to Outback. Home of my favorite cheese fries. We did not order them. Phew!

Good luck with your diet. Try to stay busy to keep your mind off of the food you won't be having.

I am not nervous at this particular time. However, I will probably be extremely nervous again in 30 minutes. Haha, I go through phases. Yesterday I was terrified and ready to cancel. Today, I'm a cool cucumber.

Set for my July 25th date.....but still so confused/nervous about foods afterward.....I don't eat veggies ...is this procedure a bad idea for me? Just not going to start eating them :-(
